How it works
Four steps, and the family decides at the second one.
Photograph it
The teacher adds the class once, then taps the camera next to a child's name. The picture is saved on the phone straight away, even with no signal.
The family says yes or no
Each family gets a one-time code from the teacher. They create an account, and decide whether their child's artwork may be kept.
A private gallery
Once they say yes, pictures appear in their gallery as the teacher takes them. They see their own child and no one else.
A book at the end of the year
Every picture from the school year is laid out one per page, with its title and date, as a PDF ready for a home or school printer.
For teachers
- Open the app in your phone's browser. Add it to your home screen if you like; it works like an app.
- Add a class, then each child by first name.
- When there is something worth keeping, tap the camera next to the child and photograph it. Add a title later, or don't.
- It works without signal. Pictures are saved on the phone and sent when you are back online.
- Create an account to invite families. Your classes and pictures move into it, and you can use more than one phone or tablet.
- For each child, make an invitation code and hand it to the family — on paper in the book bag, or by email from the app.
For families
- Open the join page and enter the code from your child's teacher.
- Create an account with your email address, then say yes or no to keeping your child's artwork.
- If you say yes, pictures appear in your gallery as they are taken. Each parent or carer can have their own code.
- Download the year's book as a PDF whenever you like, and print it at home or in a shop.
- Change your mind at any time from your gallery. Withdrawing consent deletes your child's pictures.
The book
One A4 PDF per child per school year (September to August): a cover with their name and class, then each picture on its own page with its title and date, oldest first. Wide pictures get a landscape page so they are not printed small.
